Do We Still Need to Boil Water? Our forefathers boiled water before drinking because in those days, the main sources of water were from wells, streams and rivers. Without chlorination, the water in these sources contain bacteria. Hence, at that time, boiling was essential to eliminate bacteria. In modern times, chlorine is added into water by the water authorities to eliminate bacteria. Since water from the tap is already largely free from bacteria, why then do we need to boil water?

What Happens When We Boil Chlorinated Water? Good water should be fresh, with dissolved minerals and oxygen. "Living" water has continuous water molecular movements in contact with oxygen in the air. Boiling "destroys" oxygen and minerals in the water. In other words, boiled water is "dead" water. In particular, boiling chlorinated water speeds up the reaction between chlorine and humic acid to form THMs. Though boiling kills bacteria present in the water, it does not completely remove impurities, odour, heavy metals and chlorine. • The above picture proves that pyramid schemes are unsustainable. As stated above, because pyramid schemes offer no product or service, no possible way exists for the people at the bottom of the pyramid to make any money. The only way to make money in a pyramid scheme is to sign-up new members for a fee. However, as the above picture shows, this becomes impossible when the scheme reaches a certain level. The end result is that people can spend upwards of several thousand dollars to enroll in one of these scams and will end up losing everything.

   Understand the difference. Multi-level marketing companies follow a similar concept to a pyramid scheme, which is a reason for most of the confusion, except that two significant differences exist.

• The second difference is that members of any level in a multi-level can advance past the people who signed them up.
• Finally,multi-level marketing companies are LEGAL!

Understand why. You may be asking, “if all the confusion, why then do these companies initiate this business model?” The main reason for this type of model is to reduce the cost of advertising. We can all agree that effective advertising in this day and age can cost a bundle. Many new companies do not have this much capital in the beginning. Therefore, one solution is to reward the company’s members for “spreading the word.” Instead of the company spending hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars on advertising, the company gives the members an incentive, usually in the form of money, for signing up new members to sell/use the company’s product and/or service.

• Unlike a pyramid scheme, any member on any level can make money without ever having to sign-up a new member. However, like a pyramid scheme, once the company reaches a certain population level, it becomes impossible for any new people to sign-up. • Pyramid schemes offer money for simply recruiting people. This money can come as a commission from the sale of a starter kit or as a recruiting "bonus."
• Avoid any MLM that puts much more emphasis on recruiting salespeople than selling the actual product.
• Pyramid schemes charge steep startup costs for joining, including mandatory training, a starter kit and a non-refundable membership fee.
• Beware of any MLM that allows five or more levels of distributors to collect commissions on a single sale.
• Make sure that the products being sold have real value and a competitive price. Are they reputable brands? Have the manufacturers been involved in recent lawsuits?
• Avoid MLMs that only sell lists of sales leads to other MLM salespeople. This is most likely outdated information that has made the MLM rounds several times before.

【前线分享】Mille Crêpes Cake 原味千层可丽饼

可丽饼的起源是法国的布列塔尼地区, 它的由来还蛮有趣的, 因为布列塔尼的土壤品质贫佳, 对于做可丽饼的材料小麦生长不利, 所以当地人为了勉强度日所以做成薄薄的饼, 配上其他的食物一起吃. 慢慢的被发觉它美味之处, 就被某蛋糕师研发改良, 成了现在闻名的千层可丽饼.

Crêpe Batter Ingredient 面糊材料:
300g - Flour 面粉
1000ml - Milk 牛奶
6粒 - Egg 鸡蛋
90g - Butter 溶化牛油

Pastry Cream 馅料:
400g - UHT Whipping Cream 鲜奶油
180g - Sugar/Icing Sugar 糖/糖粉

Direction 做法:
1. 准备面糊材料.
2. 把鸡蛋打散, 加入牛奶, 牛油和面粉拌匀.
3. 过滤. 休面收入冰箱最少两个小时以上.
4. 烧热9“non stick pan, 搯适量面糊煎至金黄色.
5. 面糊煎得越薄越好, 重复此步骤至做完. 待凉. (大约25片)
6. 准备馅料材料.
7. 混合所有材料, 打发鲜奶油.
8. 将鲜奶油打发至呈现纹路, 浓绸.
9. 准备平面的刀将打发的鲜奶油叠上之前煎好的面糊.
10. 每一片抹上适量馅料, 叠在一起成蛋糕形状.
11. 冷藏. 即可.

温馨提示:
* 打发UHT Whipping Cream 鲜奶油之前, 必须先放入冰箱24小时以上, 保持低温状态, 才容易打发UHT Whipping Cream 鲜奶油.
* 打发鲜奶油之前, 也可以先把容器放入冰箱降温 就不怕鲜奶油温度被受影响.
